A Maven's World 7th Annual Women's Conference

RANDOLPH, Mass. - Dec. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- BOSTON, MA - On Saturday, January 5, 2019, A Maven's World presents the 7th Annual Women's Conference from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Lombardo's, 6 Billings Street, Randolph. Attendees will gather for self-renewal, networking and personal and professional development with some of the most influential women leaders and entrepreneurs locally and nationally. The conference also consists of a marketplace of over 40 exhibitors, offering a wide range of products and services that are meaningful to women, and allow small businesses to make new connections and customers.

This year, across the country, women have been elected to political office at historic levels, including in Massachusetts.  According to Time Magazine, "At least 90 women are expected to make their way to Washington, D.C. in January."  Themed HERSTORY, this full-day of women's empowerment and development will include opening remarks from Gail Jackson-Blount, President of the Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus (MWPC), incoming president for the MWPC, Pam Berman, and Monica Cost, owner of The Core Value Company. Keynote speakers include Colette Phillips, CEO and president of Colette Phillips Communications, Inc., and journalist, Crystal Haynes. They will provide insight about the unprecedented female leadership pressing into the political landscape nationwide, and the importance of women continuing to hone their business acumen, and entrepreneurial abilities in order to lead across all sectors. Attendees will also hear from the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women (MCSW). Philanthropist Shellee Mendes, owner of Salon Monet & Newbury Street Networkers will serve as emcee. Janelle Woods-McNish and Michelle 'Mona' Thompson are the 2019 Maven Award recipients.
