MONTEREY, Calif. - Oct. 16, 2018 - PRLog -- Veterans Transition Center announced they will hold an inaugural Veteran's Day Fundraiser "11.11 Gala" November 11th at Monterey Conference Center, from 5 pm to 9 pm.

Proceeds from this event will help fill the gap that exists with VA funding, which currently provides for the Veteran, but federal law limits extending that support to Veteran dependents.  At any given time VTC has four families and over a dozen children in their programs, without funding.  Jack Murphy, Deputy Director for the organization, states VTC has the facilities to provide support for more Veterans and their families, the obstacle is lack of funding for Dependent programs and services.     Several projects under development will also benefit from this fundraising effort:

·         Expand housing and supportive services program specifically for homeless and at-risk female Veterans and female Veterans with children.

·         Vocational Training Center to provide job-skills, hands-on training, and certification in a variety of trades located on property owned by VTC.

This Black tie affair will be held in the $60 million newly renovated Monterey Conference Center.  The evening will include a cocktail and appetizer reception, three course dinner with a musical performance by the Monterey County Pops and special guests the Panetta Family.

Norm Hoffmann, Television Meteorologist and US Air Force Veteran, will emcee the patriotic evening honoring all branches of the United States Military service.  Silent and live auction items have been curated specifically for this event.

Tickets available for purchase through  or in person at: VTC Martinez Hall,  220 12th Street, Marina.   Contact Tracey Love, VTC Special Event Coordinator at: 831.833.8387 ext. 214.  The Veteran Transition Center is a charitable 501(3) (c) organization.
