STRATFORD-UPON-AVON, U.K. - Oct. 16, 2018 - PRLog -- The new Micro-Generation Awards close for entries on November 30, 2018 and will be celebrated at as "green" a venue as possible on April 12, 2019 in London. Plans are currently shaping up to make use of the excellent facilities at the Ecology Pavilion in Mile End Park for a lunchtime celebration.

There are seven categories for Innovation across all forms of micro-generation: Solar, Wind, Water (inland or marine), Ground Source, Air Source, Biomass and Hydrogen. The judges will be keen to learn about great innovative thinking brought to bear on the sourcing of sustainable energy.

A further seven categories seek out specific micro-generation projects. These are expected to be largely UK installations, but it is recognised that UK companies also manufacture, install and advise on overseas projects. The categories cover micro-generation projects for the Community, Industry, Commerce, Agriculture, Education, Healthcare and Transport.

The third group of categories looks at the disciplines utilised in micro-generation: from design to planning; from installation to training; from manufacturing to maintenance; and from technology to finance and funding – a total of eight categories in this group.

The fourth group endeavours to reward people: from rising stars to apprenticeships; from sales and customer service to inventiveness; and from energy to the environment. Awards in this group of categories can go to individuals or to teams, but it is important that people are nominated. Nominations can be from colleagues or individuals or teams can self-nominate.

The ultimate accolade – basically the entry the judges deem best in show – will go to the Micro-Generation Awards Champion.

Anyone interested in entering the Micro-Generation Awards should start thinking about their entries now. Time is ticking away, as the countdown clock (http://www.microgenawards.co.uk/) on the Awards website clearly shows.

The Awards are open to sponsorship and Futurenergy (https://www.futurenergy.co.uk/) snapped up the opportunity to be involved with this new competition. Full details on sponsorship opportunities are available from the organisers, simply by requesting information using the online form on the website.

Cost of entering the Awards is moderate. A first entry costs £200 + VAT, but second or subsequent entries can be submitted for just £100 each. The closing date for entries is November 30, 2018.

Information about the Awards lunch and ceremony will be released as soon as details are confirmed, but it's worth making a note of the date: April 12, 2019.
