Appraiser Awarded Highest Honor Bestowed by the American Society of Appraisers

RESTON, Va. - Oct. 16, 2018 - PRLog -- Susan Golashovsky ASA, FSA-Scot, of Doylestown, PA, an accredited senior appraiser, has  been recognized by her contributions to the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and the appraisal profession by being conferred the designation of Fellow (FASA)--the highest honor ASA bestows.

Golashovsky is Principal of the Susan Golashovsky ASA firm in Doylestown, PA. She practices throughout the United States and is qualified as an expert witness in Pennsylvania. Her client list includes corporate, general public, industry and governmental entities.

With more than 20 years of experience, Golashovsky has a working knowledge of the retail side of antiques and decorative arts. As an ASA Accredited Senior Appraiser, Golashovsky and has earned four designations in Personal Property: Antiques and Decorative Arts, Residential Contents, American Folk Art and Antique Furniture. She is the only ASA appraiser on the East Coast accredited in American Folk Art.

Golashovsky served as the International President of the American Society of Appraisers from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017. She chaired the International Ethics Committee, the Budget and Finance Committee and the Investment Committee. Currently Golashovsky serves on various ASA Committees, including International Board of Examiners and the Personal Property Committee. She is a past president of the Philadelphia Chapter of ASA.

Golashovsky has studied Antiques and Decorative Arts both nationally and internationally. She completed professional appraisal studies through George Washington University in conjunction with ASA. Golashovsky continued her education in Fine and Decorative Arts through various programs, including Winterthur Museum Study Programs.

Golashovsky has been an active member in her community, including as a former member of Doylestown, PA Toastmasters and past vice president of Bucks County Antiques Dealer's Association.
