NAPBS Breaks Attendance Records At the 2018 Annual Conference

RALEIGH, N.C. - Oct. 15, 2018 - PRLog -- The National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) is pleased to announce the success of the 2018 NAPBS Annual Conference held October 7-9, 2018.

In Baltimore, Md., a record-breaking 882 background screening professionals gathered for three days of educational programming focused around the theme, "Passport to the World." The sold-out Exhibit Showcase featured 53 companies that supply products or services to the background screening profession.

NAPBS 2018-19 Chair Angela Preston said, "Screening is a global issue. NAPBS is moving forward with global initiatives in 2019 that will bring the world just a little closer. The overwhelming support from the industry as we continue to break attendance records shows a commitment to excellence and sharing knowledge. I look forward to what's in store."

Education continues to be the hallmark of NAPBS conferences with 27 educational sessions presented on a variety of topics affecting the industry ranging from global screening techniques, strategic business sessions, technology and information security practices, legal and compliance guidelines, legislative updates. NAPBS offered educational tracks to assist attendees wishing to focus on a topic for intensive study: International, Legal/Compliance, Business, Drug Testing and Tenant Screening.

The keynote session "Crossing the Generational Divide" featured Matt Beaudreau, The Center for Generational Kinetics. In his engaging, informative session, Beaudreau shared the strategic opportunities of the different strengths, values and communication styles from four different generations in the workplace.

Keeping with NAPBS' global focus, the agenda featured important updates on GDPR, global screening challenges, screening in Canada and more.

Upcoming NAPBS events include the 2019 Mid-Year Legislative & Regulatory Conference held March 24-26, 2019, in Washington, D.C., and the 2019 Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, Sept. 8-10, 2019.
