By: Cincinnati Business & Professional Women Inc. The combination workshop and light dinner will feature Dr. Monique Johnson, local Life Coach and Diversity & Inclusion Consultant. Her talk will focus on helping women thrive and advance in business, while helping to obtain equality in the workplace – doing their P.A.R.T. through Promoting, Acceptance, Respect and Teamwork. The event will also include Cincinnati BPW's recognition of Cincinnati Councilman Christopher Smitherman for his part in drafting and supporting a motion to strengthen the city's policy on sexual harassment. The evening will include a time for networking and "Dinner By the Bite," with a variety of soft drinks. "We are thrilled to be able to observe National Business Women's Week this year with a great program and a well-deserved recognition of Councilman Smitherman's motion to strengthen the City of Cincinnati's policy against sexual harassment, said Ursula Bess, president of Cincinnati, Region 5 of Business & Professional Women/OH. "This annual event offers a valuable opportunity to call attention to the ongoing needs of women in the workplace, facilitate discussions on the challenges working women face and how to create viable solutions, share information about successful workplace policies and draw attention to employers that are engaged in practices that support working women," Ms. Bess explained. National Business Women's Week was established in 1928 by the forerunner of the Business and Professional Women's Foundation, the National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs. Presidents since Herbert Hoover have issued a National Business Women's Week proclamation recognizing the contributions and achievements of working women. Registration is $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Contact us at 513-829-5121, or by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/ End
