Sacred Art: From Dark to Light
An exhibition of 15th century religious painting shines a light on sacred art.
A new exhibit, The Events in the Life of Jesus Christ, at Marygrove College Art Gallery, on November 9th, 2018 will present twenty 22 x 30" watercolors by local artist Ron Teachworth.
Through expansive backgrounds and traditional representational style, Teachworth reminds us that while the world may move forward, sometimes looking back can illuminate much more than we expect. The paintings are exhibited in such a way as to provide a visual narrative of the life of Christ.
None of the paintings will be for sale. They will only be available to view in this gallery, Marygrove College Art Gallery through December 30, 2018 and potentially other parishes throughout the Detroit Archdiocese.
There will be a reception November 9, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. The show runs through the month of December, 2018.
