New Book Inspires Cultural Change Through Individual Transformation

'Ceremonies from the Heart for Children, Adults and the Earth' Details Steps for Creating Family Rites of Passage
SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Oct. 9, 2018 - PRLog -- Blue Bone Books today released its latest book, Ceremonies from the Heart for Children, Adults and the Earth,  written by Robin White Turtle Lysne, Ph.D.  In turbulent times, we can rely on strengthening and deepening family ties by creating meaning-filled traditions.  The book provides step-by-step guidance for constructing family rites of passage for people in any stage of life. Designed to help readers create their own ceremonies, Ceremonies from the Heart  shares intimate stories from people who have undertaken their own transformation through ceremonies.

"It's time that we take charge of our lives spirituality. For true cultural change, we must move from fear to unconditional love," said Robin White Turtle Lysne, author of Ceremonies from the Heart.  "We can all affect cultural change by embracing our authentic selves through individual transformation. Personal rites can help."

These transitions have a profound impact on the purpose and contentment we feel on our individual life path. From birth to death – and every stage in-between – Ceremonies from the Heart offers support and empowerment to handle life changes with meaningful rites. Stories and questions in the book inspire readers to create their own ceremonies.

Adolescents entering their teens or people facing critical surgery can mark transitions with greater meaning by creating an honoring ceremony. Ceremonies from the Heart presents extensive research on why adolescent rites are so important to create a child's code of ethics, mark the turning, and move from fear to love in greater harmony with the Earth.

Ceremonies from the Heart gives all of us ways to deepen our personal connections to nature and heal our relationship with Mother Earth. We must listen closely to the Earth to understand how we need to respond to environmental change and global warming. Examples of Earth-based ceremonies are provided to help us recognize the threat of toxic sites in order to transform them into sacred spaces. The Earth needs us to listen, and we need her to survive.

The book is presented five sections: Living the Sacred Everyday, Transitions for Every Stage and Age, Honoring Personal Transitions, Honoring Relationships, and Rites with the Natural World.
