Follow on Google News | ![]() eHealth Africa Talks Global Health Technology Practice and Innovation at the World Health SummitEvelyn Castle, eHealth Africa's Co-Founder and Executive Director, will speak about disease outbreak management and challenges to ehealth solution implementation in Africa this October in Berlin.
By: eHealth Africa gGmbH The 10th WHS, a three day global interdisciplinary event on public health, will be held in Berlin starting on October 14, 2018. Each year, discussions are focused on specific global health challenges. This year, more than 250 speakers—including Angela Merkel and Bill Gates—will discuss pandemic preparedness, the sustainable development goals, strengthening health systems, antimicrobial resistance, the digital healthcare revolution, and access to essential medicines. Evelyn Castle will participate in the WHS workshop, "The Digital Integration of Surveillance and Outbreak Response Management". She will highlight the lessons learned from two projects implemented by eHA during the Ebola outbreak in West Africa: Sense Followup and eIDSR (https://www.ehealthafrica.org/ The 5th German-African Healthcare Symposium will take place in Berlin on October 17. The event is the result of cooperation between The German Healthcare Partnership and the Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft. Evelyn Castle will take part in the session "eHealth Business in Africa: A Reality Check from the Field", discussing the lessons eHA learned over the last 10 years, in particular, how to deliver with impact and overcome challenges faced when implementing eHealth solutions in Africa.
