Follow on Google News | Boozy Biccies Reveal Their Special Edition Halloween BiscuitsBoozy Biccies, famous for their adult only, Northern Irish alcoholic biscuits, have revealed a special Halloween snack, just in time for the spookiest month of the year.
Michael Thompson, the creator of Boozy Biccies, produces the biscuits himself in County Down: "Black Tom was a pirate who reportedly hid his treasure at Dunluce Castle in County Antrim, while Cornwall is famous for it's shipwrecks and rum, an ideal combination. I wanted a cookie that had a strong flavour, with a distinctive look, something that would surprise people, perfect for Halloween parties. The blending of a robust spiced rum and, a crunchy cookie, produced an exciting new product that adults love." The special edition biscuits will be sold in a black Halloween box for a limited period and go on sale via the Boozy Biccies website on 4th October. Black Tom's Sea Biscuits are sold in 140g boxes, rrp £3.49. Boozy Biccies is an artisan cookie producer in Northern Ireland with plans to expand via IndieGoGo crowdfunding. For more details and to order their special editions biscuits, visit www.boozybiccies.com Notes for editors: Boozy Biccies is a trading name of Iconic Biscuits Ltd., founded by Michael Thompson in 2017. While attending a WorldHost course organised by Tourism NI, local business people were served a range of local foods from rare breed meats to dried seaweed. It was then that Michael realised there were no signature Northern Ireland biscuits on offer in the gift market or hospitality trade. Michael has worked in sales and marketing for over 20 years. In 2013 he took a break to retrain as a chef and spend time with his new daughter Lucy, before launching Iconic Biscuits in 2017. End
