Sky-Vue Skateland Reschedules 60th Diamond Anniversary

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Oct. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- The presence of hurricane Florence required Denise Watkins to reschedule the Anniversary Celebration scheduled for September 16.  October 14, 2018 is the new date for celebrating Sky-Vue Skateland's 60th Diamond Anniversary.

Many family and friends are anticipating the celebration to join with former skating friends to relive the fun on eight wheels.  The skating tradition has been passed down to four generations over the past 60 years.   "I can't believe I'm bringing my children to Sky-Vue now", is the statement often heard when former skaters return with their children learning to skate.   "It's so rewarding to see the next generation of skaters coming out to the rink to learn to skate" said Denise Watkins.  "Their parents are so excited to share the skating experience with their children."

The celebration is scheduled for Sunday, October 14 from 2:00-5:00pm at 13734 US 64 Alternate West, Rocky Mount.  Festivities include a roll call of skaters through the decades, recognizing generations of skating families, identifying rink sweethearts, and remembering employees and staff from over the years.   Games, door prizes, and giveaways will delight all who participate.

Anyone with photos from their skating days may submit digital files to denise@skyvueskateland.com.  They will be included in a multimedia presentation to be shown at the event.
