RANDOLPH, Mass. - Oct. 3, 2018 - PRLog -- .U.S. Senate candidate Geoff Diehl will address the South Shore Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, October 11th at The Lantana, 43 Scanlon Drive, Randolph.

The breakfast meeting, slated from 7:44 to 9:00 a.m., follows the Chamber's long-held tradition of hosting forums for candidates and incumbents.  Diehl will compete against incumbent U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren in the November 6th election.

The highly anticipated event will also feature guest speaker Dr. Gene Green, President and CEO of South Shore Health, who will address the November 6th ballot Question 1 on patient-to-nurse limits.  Dr. Green's presentation will focus on concerns raised by the ballot question, a referendum proposal that the South Shore Chamber has formally opposed.

Said Peter Forman, President and CEO of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce, "If passed this law will add hundreds of millions of dollars in new healthcare costs without any additional services.  It doesn't hurt just hospitals. It will also make it more difficult to recruit nurses for non-hospital services such as nurse home care and nursing homes."

Dr. Gena Glickman, President of Massasoit Community College, will serve as Grand Inquisitor at what promises to be a thought-provoking event.

Fee is $35 for Chamber and affiliate members and $55 for general admission.
