Addiction Treatment Center Opening in January

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is opening a new outpatient facility.

BELLEVUE, Wash. - Oct. 2, 2018 - PRLog -- A new Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation outpatient addiction treatment center will open in January.

According to Bob Poznanovich, vice president of business development, the center will utilize the foundation's 'Comprehensive Opioid Response with the Twelve Steps' (COR-12) framework. COR-12 combines medication-assisted treatment with evidence-based therapy.

"We do everything we can to keep patients engaged in treatment and support services longer than may be typical with other substance use disorders — and that's because the withdrawal symptoms for opioids can continue for so long," Poznanovich said.

The center will also provide teenagers screening, intervention and addiction treatment referrals services. In addition, Seattle-based patients referred to sister programs in Oregon will be aided in transitioning to the upcoming local outpatient program.

The foundation will have a ribbon cutting ceremony in February.

"Our long-term goal is to be widely recognized as a valued collaborator and an integral part of Seattle's health care system and wider social fabric," he said.
