'Wild Faith' Earns CDI More Honors

LANSING, Mich. - Oct. 1, 2018 - PRLog -- The west coast premiere of Collective Development Incorporated's 1870s family drama, 'Wild Faith,' provided not only continued validation and a special connection with audiences, the film was a 4-star hit, literally, in the entertainment capitol of the world with industry insiders.

The work of the Michigan-based production company (CDI), (www.cdiproductions.com) was named by judges on Sept. 9th at the Burbank International Film Festival as 'Best Faith-Based Film'. This also comes on the heels of a Silver Crown Award at ICVM (International Christian Visual Media) and a Runner Up 'Best Film' at the International Christian Film Festival where Ms. LaStrada won 'Best Actress' for her performance.

Written by CDI's CEO, DJ Perry, who also co-stars (as trapper Ben Lily), 'Wild Faith' also again earned Best Actor and Best Actress nominations for ensemble leads (Shane Hagedorn as 'Emmett') and Lauren LaStrada as 'Haddie'), at the Burbank International Film Festival.

'Wild Faith' is a racially-charged, socially-challenging parable as relevant today as it was post-Civil War and thru the Jim Crow era. Elements of war, greed, hatred, racism, prejudice, bigotry and religious zealotry all play out as the story unfolds. But while 'Wild Faith' is a story of many layers, there is one constant theme. Humanity. The film devoid of politics, speaks to truth and love, with thought at its core. The belief that there is a path to righteousness for all human beings. If they choose it.

In the late 1800s a Civil War Union veteran (Hagedorn) is compelled to keep a promise to a dying black soldier who saved his life. Go back to Michigan and protect the soldier's wife and young daughter, thus creating an interracial family, much to the chagrin of his unforgiving neighbors.

But the arrival of a traveling circus train changes everything. And incites the most unlikely set of events that will push everyone to the limits.

Wild Faith had enjoyed a limited, yet successful Michigan/Florida theatrical run at major chains such as Celebration Cinemas, Emagine, and Goodrich Theaters.

CDI continues to move the bar for not only independent film making, but cinema and story telling to the mainstream market for the big screen, TV, DVD and digital streaming services. CDI is completing a 'Wild Faith' distribution deal with Bridgestone Multimedia Group, for a worldwide home video release in early 2019. Development for an on-going 'Wild Faith' TV series is also in the works. CDI's next film release will be part three of THE QUEST TRILOGY, their biblical adventure series, entitled 'The Christ Slayer' releasing on broadcast/digital 2/4/18 and DVD 3/4/18.
