Intellectual Property Attorneys Announce New Law Firm, Kolitch Romano

PORTLAND, Ore. - Oct. 1, 2018 - PRLog -- Shawn Kolitch and Thomas (T.J.) Romano today announced the formation of a new intellectual property law firm, Kolitch Romano LLP. Based in Portland, Oregon, and serving a nation-wide and international client base, the firm specializes in strategic protection, monetization, and enforcement of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret rights.

Kolitch Romano's founding team has worked together for over a decade and has a combined 80+ years of intellectual property legal experience.  Members of the founding team are well-respected practitioners, all of whom have backgrounds in science or engineering.

Shawn Kolitch and T.J. Romano have been internationally recognized for their intellectual property counseling. With Shawn's background as a physics professor and T.J.'s as a business strategy consultant prior to becoming attorneys, Kolitch Romano believes in the importance of lucidly explaining intellectual property concepts and devising strategic business recommendations for clients' intellectual property portfolios.

Attorneys joining Kolitch Romano's founding team include Dave Bourgeau, who has a background as an engineer in the Navy and at several Fortune 500 companies before becoming an attorney.  Kimberly Fisher focuses on brand and design protection, in addition to having a background in biotechnology.  John M. McCormack has a degree in mechanical engineering and is one of the few trademark attorneys to have argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. Erin Mondloch joins Kolitch Romano as a Technical Consultant, with a Ph.D. in Physics. She assists attorneys with patent prosecution in a range of technology areas. Amy Kuntz-Presting joins the patent and enforcement team and Chelsea Garrett joins the trademark team as experienced key staff members.
