Investing Outside the Box: Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is Event in Baltimore on Oct. 19

BALTIMORE - Oct. 2, 2018 - PRLog -- WHAT: Everyday investors (not just accredited investors) can learn how to put their money into small businesses in their communities at the "Investing Outside the Box: Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is" event.  The event is hosted by Jenny Kassan Consulting and Crowdfund Mainstreet, and is part of a three-day training  on creative fundraising strategies for women entrepreneurs.

Crowdfund Mainstreet is a regulation crowdfunding platform connecting local businesses with everyday people who want to invest in them. Newer national laws enable anyone (not just accredited investors) to invest in small businesses and start-ups.

EVENT DETAILS: The event will include an investor insight session where attendees will hear from a diverse group of investors and ecosystem builders who are putting their money where their hearts are. Speakers include:

·      Investors Aurelia Flores, Cee Smith, and Kate Poole who have extensive experience supporting women and people of color-owned businesses.

·      Innovative Baltimore-based entrepreneurs and eco-system builders Cole and Aisha Pew.

Attendees will have the opportunity to invest in one or more Baltimore-based entrepreneurs who are raising capital on Crowdfund Mainstreet.
