iGlow Mentoring and Mielle Organics Team Up to Honor Teen Girls in Chicago

CHICAGO - Sept. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- iGlow Mentoring and Mielle Organics are excited to announce the 2018 MiGlow Awards, an awards ceremony that recognizes teen girls of color in the Chicagoland area that excel academically, exemplify extraordinary leadership skills, and show impressive involvement within their communities.

"Our team is ecstatic to provide the opportunity for twenty-one Chicagoland teen girls of color to be honored at this years MiGlow Awards. The MiGlow Awards is the perfect opportunity to identify local teen girls throughout Chicago who are destined to be leaders in Generation Z", says Delores Tomorrow.

Twenty-One teenage girls will receive the MiGlow Award which includes an all-expense paid trip to London, England along with a twelve-week curriculum that prepares them for international travel. MiGlow's London Experience will inspire teens girls who are already civic leaders in Chicago to now take on the world and foster the adaptability and leadership skills that are needed to be adequate leaders for the next generation.

Winners will be selected through a multiplex submission process that involves a social media contest driven by the public's vote and a group interview that tests candidates leadership and problem solving skills. As a part of their experience award winners will also engage in local and international community service opportunities and professional development workshops that equips them with world-class training in cross cultural exploration and global travel.

"I feel it's important to mentor and give back to our young girls because they are our future.  I've been blessed with a platform, and I have a responsibility to share my story and give back", says Monique Rodriguez, CEO of Mielle Organics.
