IATP Challenges Parks to Jump Higher at 6th Annual Conference & Trade Show
Highlights of the event include the introduction of a self-regulatory program which will require all IATP park members to undergo a third-party inspection based on industry standards by renewal 2020. Additionally, the IATP will launch a consumer awareness campaign late winter 2019 – Let's Get Jumping. The program is designed to provide education and resources to parents, educators and jumpers helping them to better understand what to look for and what questions to ask before they jump at a trampoline park. IATP Chair, Dave Schaeffer stated, "In the absence of regional standards or government regulation the IATP self-regulatory program and consumer awareness campaign will work hand in hand to provide trampoline park patrons with a way to identify parks dedicated to delivering optimally safe experiences."
Two new board members were elected at this year's event. Both will work to move the industry forward globally. Joining the board are Rich Cook, COO – CircusTrix and Elizabeth Kramer, Owner – Sky High Sports. Ed Reed, Vice President of Construction with Jumpstreet is slated to serve as Chairman through September 2020. Ed also serves as the Chair for the ASTM Trampoline Court Task Group.
