SAN FRANCISCO - Sept. 27, 2018 - PRLog -- California based band ScienceNV have just released a new single, "A Good Man Goes Home," and a new video for the song "River of Jewels." The single comes from an epic piece titled "Roderick's Tale." "Roderick's Tale" and "River of Jewels" are both their newest album The Quest for Prester John Volume Two.

Headquartered in San Francisco, California, ScienceNV was formed in 2005 by Larry Jay Davis (guitar and bass guitar), David Graves (keyboards), Jim Henriques (guitar and keyboards) and Rich Kallet (drums). ScienceNV released their debut album, Really Loud Noises in 2008. They followed that up with Pacific Circumstances in 2010. The Last Album Before the End of Time was released in 2013. 2018 has seen the release of The Quest for Prester John Volume One and The Quest for Prester John Volume Two.

Their latest is actually a double disc concept album. It might seem a bit unusual, but the two parts of the set were released a few months apart. There is a lot more information about the two-fer of The Quest for Prester John Volume One and The Quest for Prester John Volume Two including notes and credits to found at ScienceNV.com.

In a review of The Quest for Prester John Volume Two at Music Street Journal, Greg Olma said this about "River of Jewels," this instrumental borrows a bit from Pink Floyd. It has a dreamy soundtrack feel..."  He also said that "there is some cool guitar work during the middle of this cut." The band describes the video this way, "'River of Jewels' is a trippy, psychedelic video that employs state-of-art technology to render brilliant hi-def visuals to Volume Two's breathtaking soundscape/composition.'"

In his review at Wormwood Chronicles, Doctor Abner Mality called "A Good Man Goes Home" an "upbeat and zesty tune."  ScienceNV themselves had this to say about the song, "AGMGH is the penultimate finale to Roderick's 7-part prog rock saga.  All of the guest musicians who appear earlier in the piece converge for a grand closing to Roderick's tumultuous journey."

Critics have been showing their love for both discs. At Mondo Music Media, Toering called Volume Two, "a killer album that follows an equally remarkable effort on the first volume." Jerry Lucky (at The Progressive Rock Files) said, "The Quest for Prester John – Volume 2 is a musical journey of intoxicating epic-scale Prog that delivers an "E" ticket ride."
