Open Broadband, LLC Acquires Blue Prism Internet, LLC

WAXHAW, N.C. - Oct. 1, 2018 - PRLog -- Open Broadband, LLC (www.openbb.net) is pleased to announce our expansion into Western North Carolina and Rutherford County through the acquisition of Blue Prism Internet, LLC. Blue Prism is a fixed-wireless ISP based in Forest City NC and provides high-speed internet services to consumers and businesses in the area.

The operations of the entities will be merged, and the President of Blue Prism, Tom Roberson, will be joining Open Broadband as Area Manager of Western NC.

Open Broadband, LLC provides hybrid fiber and fixed-wireless internet service, up to gigabit speed, in many communities across North Carolina. Service is provided to residents, small and medium-sized businesses, technology incubators, universities, and government locations including police, fire, town hall, and airport facilities. Open Broadband also provides free public Wi-Fi zones in downtown areas, parks, and campuses.

With the merger of operations, Open Broadband plans to begin offering symmetrical internet service, up to gigabit speed (1000 Mbps x 1000 Mbps) to areas in Rutherford County in 4Q18.
