Educator and Youth Advocate Addresses Middle School Bullying in her Latest Read The Misfits!

Young, a Native of Gary Indiana, pinpoints the agony youngsters within a middle school setting sadly endure in her latest book titled The Misfits. A realistic fiction, Young wrote this book to address this major yet global concern.

Adra Young is a native of Gary, Indiana.  Graduating from Roosevelt High School, Young was accepted and attended the prestigious Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.  Majoring in Education, Young has over twenty years of experience with the youth in and out of the classroom environment.  Obtaining her Master's degree from the University of Detroit, she served as a social skills provider for the Detroit Impact Center on the cities Westside. Pinpointing the lack of resources available for both middle and high school students within the urban setting, she created a program that specifically addresses the overwhelming issues today's youth is faced with.
