Veteran-led Team Rubicon Supporting Response and Recovery Efforts in the Wake of Hurricane Florence
By: Team Rubicon
Working in conjunction with state and local authorities, Team Rubicon volunteers will conduct damage assessments and provide home muck-out services, sawyer operations, expedient home repairs, and debris removal services to affected residents—helping to speed the recovery and rebuilding of these communities.
Residents affected by Florence may request assistance through Crisis Cleanup at 1-800-451-1954. Services requested through Crisis Cleanup are not guaranteed to be completed by Team Rubicon, but volunteers with the organization are manning the hotline and routing requests to partnering relief agencies in the affected area.
"Hurricane Florence was a devastating storm that downed trees and power lines and dropped a historic amount of rain in North Carolina – leading to widespread flooding," said William Porter, National Planning Manager at Team Rubicon. "Our teams are ready to put their disaster response skills to work to serve those impacted by Florence."
"Team Rubicon launched our largest operation to date in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, and one year later, we're still rebuilding homes in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico," said Co-founder and CEO Jake Wood. "We're ready to serve those impacted by Florence and are grateful for the trust and support of the public's hard-earned dollars to do so."
