Ceramic Tile Education Foundation Launches Searches for Executive Director

PENDLETON, S.C. - Sept. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) which provides education and installer certification for professionals working in the ceramic tile and stone industry has begun a search for an executive director to take the foundation's mission to the next level.

The Foundation relies on industry support to carry out its educational and certification goals. As of 2018, CTEF has educated, trained and certified 1,500 CTIs and many ACTs thanks to the intense dedication of two full-time staff members, an army of volunteers and the outsourcing of some functions.

"The need for this program to grow to new levels is urgent and the Foundation is seeking to hire a dedicated self-starter who can work with industry leaders and supporters to reach its goals and objectives," says Bart Bettiga Executive Director of the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) and member of the CTEF Board of Directors.

The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation offers the only tile industry recognized certification test validating the skills and knowledge of the installer.  This industry certification will become even more important as consumers, homebuilders, general contractors, specifiers and designers seek qualifications through programs such as industry certification.

The ideal candidate for CTEF executive director will have a clear understanding of the construction industry. Having significant experience in tile distribution, manufacturing, and installation is ideal, but not paramount.

"We are looking for a proven leader; one who can motivate volunteers and sponsors to clearly understand the vision of the Foundation's purpose, so that they will want to invest their resources, both time and money, to help CTEF make a bigger impact on industry growth," adds Bettiga. "This then enables Scott Carothers, director of certification and training, to focus solely on the training and certification testing process."

The Ceramic Tile Education Foundation (CTEF) which sponsors the CTI program is supported by all segments of the ceramic tile industry. CTEF is headquartered in Pendleton, South Carolina, near Clemson University and the offices of the Tile Council of North America (TCNA).
