Call for Vendors and Performers to Participate in New Winter Festival at the Brooklyn Museum
Annual "Winterfest" opening the day after Thanksgiving will feature line-up of artisans, programming, and winter attractions and presents a unique opportunity for vendors to showcase their products during the busiest shopping season of the year.

"I have always envisioned Brooklyn having its own holiday market and winter celebration, and now it is all coming together in one place," said Jeff Golden, co-founder of BearHands & Buddies. "As a Brooklyn artisan, I am very excited to participate in Winterfest and believe it will be an amazing platform to reach customers from all five boroughs during the busiest season of the year."
"Having produced a number of events in Brooklyn across the years, we are thrilled to be working with this team to bring a signature holiday festival to the Brooklyn Museum," said Melanie Duault, of Masai Marketing. "Not only will this create a marquee holiday attraction for Brooklyn, but also benefit local entrepreneurs and cultural groups alike."
Winterfest is anticipated to draw 300,000 visitors in its first year, generating an overall estimated economic impact to the community of $15 million. Entrance will be free and open to the public, with select paid attractions. The festival's holiday market of up to 50 vendors will support local entrepreneurs through its priority inclusion of small businesses and artisans from surrounding communities. Winterfest will also provide a performance stage for cultural programming free-of-charge to local arts groups.
Artists and vendors interested in being part of the Winterfest programming should visit http://winterfestbrooklynmuseum.com for more information and to apply.
Proceeds from Winterfest will go to support the operations of the Brooklyn Museum and Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
