Northwestern Mutual – Chicago Promotes Jeannette Miyazono to Director of Business Development

CHICAGO - Sept. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- With a proven track record in both client relationship management and advisor engagement, Jeannette Miyazono has been named Director of Business Development for Northwestern Mutual – Chicago. In this new role, she will partner with the firm's financial professionals to develop their practices with a sharp focus on comprehensive financial planning. At the same time, she will build upon the firm's track record of leadership in both practice management and community involvement, while driving visibility for the firm's offices in Chicago, Deerfield, Oak Brook and Rosemont.

Miyazono brings ten years of experience in business consulting, coaching and development, marketing and client loyalty to her new position. In her role as Client Relations Center Director, she led the team to four consecutive years of earning the Northwestern Mutual Financial Security Award, an achievement unmatched by more than 330 Northwestern Mutual office nationwide. The award recognizes a holistic approach to helping clients plan for and achieve financial security.

She joined Northwestern Mutual – Chicago in 2010 as a Client Relations Coordinator, was promoted to Client Relations Supervisor in 2013, Associate Director of Client Relations in 2015 and Director of Clients Relations in 2016. In 2018, she was also tapped to co-lead the firm's philanthropic childhood cancer program.

A California native, before moving to Chicago and joining Northwestern Mutual, she was a financial representative for a brokerage firm in California.

Miyazono holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola Marymount University. She earned industry securities and insurance licenses for Series 6 and 63, long-term care, life, accident and health. She also achieved a Certified Trainer designation from Northwestern Mutual.

Giving back to her community, in 2015 the Northwestern Mutual Foundation recognized her volunteer efforts as a Road Scholars Group Leader with Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA). Recently, she was appointed an Auxiliary Board member of the Shedd Aquarium.

She resides in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood with her husband, Clinton, and their dog, Koko.
