By: United Premier Soccer League Based in Miami (Fla.), Red Force FC will begin UPSL play in the Pro Premier Southeast Conference Florida South Division and play its UPSL home games this season at 7,000-seat Tropical Park Stadium (7900 SW 40th Street, Miami, FL 33155) in compliance with UPSL's Minimum Standards. United Premier Soccer League Florida Divisions Manager Christian Vallejos said, "Red Force FC is a historic team in the hotbed of soccer that is Kendall, Florida. They've won many leagues, have had a great Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup run, and how are developing a youth academy that fits perfectly with the UPSL's partnership with U.S. Club Soccer. We wish Red Force FC the best as it gets ready for the 2019 Spring Season." Gabriel Vega is Owner and Head Coach of Red Force Football Club. Vega, 57, has led the club from its youth academy days to a sanctioned men's club – and regional champion – looking to garner its share of the national spotlight. Red Force Football Club Owner and General Manager Gabriel Vega said, "We wanted to step up to a national platform and the UPSL is a big league now with competition nationwide. We want to see how we stack up against the best in men's Pro Development from across the country and we can't do that playing in the regional Florida league anymore. We want more for this club." A prominent youth club out of Kendall (Fla.) in the 2000s, Red Force FC went on to become five-time champions (2010-2014) of the South Florida Premier League. A Florida State Cup winner in 2012 and a USASA Region II Finalist and Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup qualifier in 2013, the club is the current champions of the Florida-based American Premier Soccer League (APSL). Christian Vega is President of Red Force FC. Vega, 28, was an all-state selection following his senior season at Palmetto Bay (Fla.)'s Westminster Christian School. He played collegiately at three different universities, eventually earning a Bachelor's degree in Business from Florida International University (NCAA). Red Force Football Club Preside Christian Vega said, "We're definitely a Miami team with deep roots in this community. We're trying to facilitate new players and we're getting a lot of interest from out there in the community as the club is getting bigger. We joined the UPSL because we liked the organization of the league and how it's structured. We're looking forward to getting started next season." Red Force FC also currently operates a reserve team in the South Florida Premier League, and is creating plans to begin Red Force Youth Academy ahead of the 2019 Fall Season. The club soon will announce its upcoming game schedule.
