Los Angeles, Get Ready to Taste Your Way Around the World
Global Flavor International Food & Drink Festival comes to Pomona, CA this weekend
The theme is "Taste Local, Taste Global," introducing guests to local restaurants in the area that
will hopefully become their new favorite restaurants!
The day includes a variety of collaborations between breweries, artists, restaurants, and community organizations.
Upland based Last Name Brewing will be taking over a historic storefront in Downtown Pomona and transforming it into the Pomona Queen Lounge for the day, a pop-up Prohibition style Speakeasy. A variety of Last Name's beers will be tapped in the Pomona Queen Lounge with artisanal crafted foods paired with the beers.
Orange County based Blenderhead Craft Ice Cream will be serving up a special Pomona Queen flavored ice cream made especially for this event.
Proceeds of ticket sales will benefit local non-profit organizations that serve the San Gabriel Valley, including Priceless Pets, Friends of the Pomona Library, YWCA Women's Shelter, and The Pomona Valley Arts Association.
Priceless Pet Rescue will be bringing their animals that are up for adoption to Global Flavor to meet the guests during the event.
Guests will enjoy a day of sips, samples, and shopping with multi-cultural experiences. Global Flavor is a worldwide tasting event celebrating local cuisine that features international entertainment and handmade art, including Southern California artists: Not Made in China by Vecani women's clothing, Stella Divina handmade craft beer label coasters, and hilarious food themed attire from Bad Pickle Tees.
Some participating restaurants include: The Tamale Guy and House of Pong from Claremont, Eden's Ethiopian & Eritrean Cuisine from Redlands, Pomona based Metro Ale House, The Rookery Ale House & Grill, and brand new Mexican & Cuban fusion restaurant Fuego.
