HUNTINGTON, N.Y. - Sept. 13, 2018 - PRLog -- Colony Workplaces, LLC leased their first office space, in Huntington NY.  Set to open this fall, they will be providing the area with much-needed serviced workspace, coworking, meeting rooms and virtual offices.

This boutique location of 2,800sf, boasts unobstructed western views of Huntington harbor.  The co-working workspace will offer private offices, as well as an open shared concept. In addition to the workspace, Colony offers meeting and conference rooms that can be used by the hour, day or week.

Cushman Wakefield recently wrote an article showing that the trend in co-working is growing at a fierce rate.  They state that the number of coworking locations worldwide has increased from 1,130 in 2011 to 13,800 in 2017. Over the same period, the number of members has drastically increased from 43,000 to 1.2 million. Current forecasts provided by the largest coworking conference operator GCUC (http://gcuc.co/) and Emergent Research indicate the number of coworking members will rise to a staggering 3.8 million by 2020 and 5.1 million by 2022.

Harvard Business Review recently wrote an article with their findings as to why people are thriving in coworking spaces.  Theyinterviewed several coworking space founders and community managers, and surveyed several hundred workers from dozens of coworking spaces around the U.S. They determined that there are three main reasons for this success, People who use coworking spaces see their work as meaningful, they have more job controland they feel part of a community.
