PRP is an acronym for Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP is obtained by drawing your own blood and spinning it down in a centrifuge to extract the plasma from it. This plasma contains many of the components of the blood that allow it to nourish, repair, and maintain the health of the body. PRP is specifically comprised of platelets and growth factors. The concentration of platelets and the concentration of growth factors in the PRP can often times be 5 to 10 times greater (or richer) than what is found in blood alone.

We are proud to utilize the healing and regenerating power of PRP for hair loss treatments. PRP treatment are best used to correct alopecia areata, genetic hair loss, thinning hair or baldness. The PRP is injected into the scalp area where the hair follicles are thinning. The growth factors that the platelets secrete stimulate tissue recovery by increasing collagen production in the hair follicle and these growth factors also stimulate healthy blood flow to the scalp.

The PRP can effectively halt or reverse thinning hair follicles. This is an affordable alternative to hair transplants which can run you in the thousands and don't always look natural or work as well as expected. A major benefit of PRP for hair regrowth is that it is a subtle gradual change that appears over the span of months, because multiple treatments are required spaced a few weeks apart, so the change is not drastic, and you, and everyone else, have time to adjust to your new hair growth. Microneedling creates hundreds of vertical microscopic channels into the dermis, through which the PRP is introduced. The PRP encourages the body to jump start its natural healing response and create new collagen, which on top of the benefits from Microneedling, drastically improves the fine lines and wrinkles and sun spots on the face.
