Adelphi Rising: University Moves Up in U.S. News, Other Rankings

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Sept. 12, 2018 - PRLog -- U.S. News & World Report's annual rankings of colleges and universities was released today and Adelphi University in New York moved into the top 150 in the national university category, jumping four places. Adelphi also dramatically improved its position in recently released rankings from Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education (up 27 spots), Money magazine (up 52 spots), and Niche (up 37 spots), while remaining on the selective Forbes list.

"It's great that the upward trajectory of Adelphi is being recognized by these various rankings and guides," said Kristen Capezza, associate vice president for enrollment management at Adelphi. "The fact that we are welcoming the largest and most diverse incoming class in our history this fall with notable growth in our out of state and international student populations is perhaps the best indicator that students and their families understand the value that our personalized approach to education creates."

In U.S. News, Adelphi moved to #147 in the National Universities category, up from 151 last year.  It was also ranked in other categories, including #86 in Best Value Colleges.

Last week, Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education released its 2019 rankings, based on student success and learning.  Adelphi moved up 27 spots to the 251^stposition among more than 1,000 colleges and universities ranked.

In August, Money magazine released its new "Best Colleges for Your Money" list, placing Adelphi at 251, an improvement of 52 spots from the previous year.  Money evaluates "the 727 Best Colleges in America" for their annual rankings.

Forbes magazine once again included Adelphi in its of Top Colleges.  Niche, a rankings organization, released its newest assessments, moving Adelphi up 37 spots to 329 out of 2,800 institutions evaluated, also making top lists for colleges for performing arts, nursing and criminal justice.
