KSPS Public Television to Host "The Great American Read" Finale Watch Party
The Spokane PBS affiliate station expects 300+ readers—costumed as their favorite literary figures—to attend the party at the downtown library next month.
By: KSPS Public Television
The party celebrates America's 100 best-loved books (as chosen by a national survey), explored in PBS's eight-part series, The Great American Read. Viewers have been voting for their favorites of the 100 books since May at www.KSPS.org/
Though anyone can watch the finale at home on KSPS at 8:00 PM on the 23rd, KSPS invites readers and revelers of all ages to dress as their favorite literary character or author and celebrate great books on a special evening that will include, a no-host bar, movie-style snacks, raffles, drawings, and a costume contest. Dressed as Daenerys Targaryen from George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, local cosplay model, Alaska Mauve, will be available for fan photos.
The all-ages event is free, but tickets are required and can be obtained at www.KSPS.org/
