Las Vegas Animal Rescuer to Speak at Unstuck Happiness Conference

LAS VEGAS - Sept. 10, 2018 - PRLog -- On September 29th, storytelling expert and animal advocate Sheryl Green will speak at the Unstuck Happiness Conference at the Houston Marriott West Loop.

"It's not a matter of if we are going to experience setbacks, it's just a matter of when," said Green.

"I believe that when we have overcome a challenge in our lives, it is our responsibility to help someone else through their difficulties."

Sheryl Green is an author and speaker, and serves as the Director of Communications and Cuddling for Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas animal rescue. After her husband was arrested for solicitation of a minor in 2008, she faced a debilitating depression and was forced to start over. Sheryl discovered the power of helping others and used a variety of tools to rebuild her life. She now helps others do the same. She is the author of Surviving to Thriving: How to Overcome Setbacks and Rock Your Life.

The Unstuck Happiness Conference was founded in 2016 by John Polish. The conferences provide a day of inspiration and hope as experts in the art of 'getting unstuck' come together to share their stories of turning tragedy into triumph. Sheryl has spoken at all of the conferences and is one of the stories featured in the upcoming documentary film "Learning to Live Unstuck."

Sheryl will be selling her book at the conference with a portion of the proceeds going to support Hearts Alive Village, a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to secure loving and stable homes for dogs and cats at risk of being lost in the shelter system. "The proceeds from this book will make a real difference in the lives of animals in need," said Christy Stevens, founder of Hearts Alive Village. "We are funded entirely by the community and this support helps us save countless lives."

Unstuck Houston will be held at the Marriott West Loop by The Galleria. The event will go from 9 am to 4 pm and will feature 9 speakers sharing their stories of tragedy and the tools they used to overcome it. Tickets for the event are available at https://www.unstuckconferences.com.
