La Cote, Dubai's Newest Waterfront Residential Launch

BUSINESS BAY, UAE - Sept. 10, 2018 - PRLog -- Dubai is known for its skyscrapers, its shopping malls and, most importantly for some, its beaches. The city has several miles of beachfront along its coastline and has accordingly designed exceptional residential communities to capitalize on that, such as the very popular Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR). One of the most popular beachfront areas in the city, and one of the oldest, is in the Jumeirah district. Part of the beach has recently been revamped in the form of La Mer, a mixed-use development covering 9.5 million square feet.

La Mer, developed by noted property developer Meraas, is split into four district areas, or zones – the beach, Laguna waterpark, the North Peninsula and the South Peninsula. The beach was the very first zone within the development to be completed, opening to the public in autumn of 2017. Featuring a gorgeous boardwalk, unique dining concepts and exceptional facilities such as private cabanas, it has been an immense success with longtime residents and new visitors to the city. The South Peninsula was launched at roughly the same time, comprising residential land plots. This was followed by the opening of Laguna waterpark early in the summer and the latest launch just this past week, Port de La Mer.

A residential master community built around a yacht marina, Port de La Mer is located on the North Peninsula and holds the distinction of being the first freehold residential project in the Jumeirah district. The neighborhood draws its inspiration from the relaxed waterfront lifestyle of the Mediterranean, featuring tree-lined promenades and buildings that evoke the beauty of Spanish and Italian coastal homes. The first project to launch within Port de La Mer is La Cote, a cluster of five low-rise buildings ideally located between the marina and the private beach that marks the tip of the peninsula. The residential units consist of over 400 one to four-bedroom apartments, plus one highly exclusive penthouse.

The marina that forms the centerpiece of Port de La Mer will offer more than 190 berths and will also include a yacht club. Shopping and dining options can be found at a gorgeous boardwalk encircling the marina, and a main road will lead from the peninsula to the mainland, allowing for direct access to the beach and Laguna waterpark. Other key areas of the city can easily be accessed from there thanks to a well-connected road network.
