United Premier Soccer League Welcomes Huracan ECUSA FC as Central Florida Expansion Team
Founded in 1986, Clearwater (Fla.)-Based Pro Development Club Joins UPSL
Based in Clearwater (Fla.), Huracan ECUSA FC starts UPSL play in the Pro premier Southeast Conference Florida Central Division on Sunday, Sept. 9, and will host its UPSL home games at Oldsmar Sports Complex (3120 Tampa, Rd., Oldsmar, FL 34677) in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

Javier Robalino is Owner and Head Coach of Huracan ECUSA FC. A native of Staten Island (N.Y.), Robalino, 49, traveled to Ecuador as a youth and his experiences there shaped his views on player development.
Huracan ECUSA FC Owner Javier Robalino said, "The UPSL is all the rage around here. We've been playing here for a couple of years and we're ready for a new opportunity. The players, they need opportunity. We have a young team and they deserve the chance to get seen by people at the next level. The UPSL is providing that in Florida, and we want to be a part of that."
Robalino was an amateur player in Ecuador before returning to the United States. He has since had coaching and administrative stints at several high-profile clubs including NY/NJ MetroStars (MLS) among others.

Huracan ECUSA FC is an American Soccer club currently based in Clearwater, Fla., and a new member of the United Premier Soccer League. Huracan ECUSA FC will begin play in the UPSL Pro Premier.
Founded in 1986, Huracan ECUSA FC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 200 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 300-plus teams targeted for 2018 Fall Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.
UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
