Hanson brings extensive experience in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions including post-operative care, sports rehab, and spine care. She is a certified lymphedema therapist and certified in Graston Technique; her proficiency in lymphedema management will establish yet another service offered at the practice.
Prior to joining Peak, she worked at two other outpatient clinics on the South Shore.
Hanson, who earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Northeastern University, is on the Board of Directors at the Andrew James Lawson Foundation. The Foundation was recently formed in memory of her brother and was established to encourage the inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their communities.
In June of 2017 her family was inducted in to the MA Special Olympics Hall of Fame.
Originally from Norwell, Massachusetts, Hanson now lives in Dorchester with her husband. She is an avid skier, beach-goer, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
"We are delighted to announce Sarah to our team and pleased that her expertise in lymphedema management will allow us to provide yet another service to clients," said Eric Edelman, PT, owner of Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance.
