BURBANK, Calif. - May 3, 2019 - PRLog -- The non-profit EngAGE, Inc., is pleased to announce our new CFO, Thomas M. Wheatley. "We are excited to welcome Tom to the team and know that his profound expertise will help us grow as an organization," Tim Carpenter, CEO/Founder of EngAGE said.

Mr. Wheatley is a finance and operations executive with expertise in three key areas: not-for-profit organizations (mostly K-12 Private Education and Public Benefit Foundations), for-profit Corporate Finance (Fortune 100) and Public Accounting ("Big 4"). Tom was formerly Interim Executive Director and CFO for the Los Angeles Children's Chorus. Prior to that, he was CFO for Sequoyah School, and for the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. He has a B.A. from the University of Maryland.

EngAGE is a nonprofit that takes a whole-person approach to community and creative, healthy aging by providing arts, wellness, lifelong learning, community building and intergenerational programs to thousands of seniors and families living in affordable senior and multi-generational apartment communities in California, Oregon, and Minnesota.

Programs are provided onsite at each of our apartment communities, and are open to all residents there at no charge. This reduces the primary barriers to engagement – cost and transportation – and maximizes impact.

Founded in 1999 as More Than Shelter for Seniors, EngAGE has worked continuously as a leading expert in aging arts programming. In the last few years, we have adapted to include multi-generational communities in our model. Our aim is to change lives across generations by transforming affordable housing into vibrant centers of community, learning, and well-being.
