Direct Federal Credit Union Partners with Volante Farms to Deliver 1,000 Plants to Needham Residents

NEEDHAM, Mass. - Sept. 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Direct Federal Credit Union (www.direct.com) of Needham, a federally insured credit union serving the financial needs of the region since 1953, has partnered with Volante Farms of Needham to celebrate becoming the fastest growing credit union in Massachusetts from June 30, 2017 to June 30, 2018, growing at a rate of 14%.  Over the last two years, Direct Federal Credit Union has grown 33%, while welcoming thousands of new members to its market-leading deposit and loan products.

Direct Federal Credit has purchased 1,000 plants from Volante Farms and employees of the Credit Union will deliver them to homes and businesses in the Needham community as part of their "Firmly Planted in Needham" celebration. Plant deliveries will be done over five days, beginning September 10, 2018. Direct Federal Credit Union has grown 14% in assets over the past year according to the June 30, 2018 NCUA Call Report, making them the fastest growing Credit Union in the state, measured against all credit unions with more than $100MM in assets. Volante Farms is a 15-acre farm that four generations of family have owned and operated.
