DUBLIN 8, Ireland - Sept. 5, 2018 - PRLog -- Blockchain the Supply Chain the program set up by the European Supply Chain Institute to educate on and promote the applications of Blockchain in the Supply Chain welcomes ShipNext and its CEO Alexander Varvarenko as a contributor to its Thought Leadership Board.

The mission of 'Blockchain the Supply Chain' is to identify the actual Blockchain applications that make sense for the extended supply chain with transparency a key focus.

Blockchain promises to deliver more transparency and proof of ownership throughout the supply chain when it integrates with the current systems in place.

However much of the Blockchain information available today is very generic and does not recognise the fact that different industries will approach and engage with the technology in different ways.

This is especially true of the supply chain where data governance and compliance issues are particularly importan't as organisations operate in diverse locations globally.

'Blockchain the Supply Chain' will address the information requirements of the supply chain both on the technology and its applications and how it can be deployed to enhance and future proof supply chain transparency.

"Without a doubt the emergence of Blockchain and its applications is very exciting and promises to transform the supply chain and how all trading partners collaborate globally. Due to the ongoing quest for supply chain visibility the supply chain is an ideal industry for Blockchain due to the need for true transparency and immutable proof of ownership of the products at each stage of distribution" states John Connors Director European Supply Chain Institute-Blockchain the Supply Chain.

We are delighted to announce ShipNext and their CEO Alexander Varvarenko as a partner to the project.

"A search for a more efficient, timely, safer and cost efficient ways of delivering cargo has faced challenges connected to the big data analysis, reliability of information, efficiency of asset management and other.

Blockchain - a technology based on an algorithm based and transparent ecosystem,  reliable and distributed ledger of data, real-time big data analysis - is a way (instrument) of overcoming these challenges" states ShipNext Ceo Alexander Varvarenko

About ShipNext

SHIPNEXT is project aimed on using blockchain technology, big data analysis and real-time data sourced from a critical mass of approved participants and transport-related infrastructure to build a decentralized ecosystem. In the core of SHIPNEXT ecosystem lays an algorithm, created to run shipping related SHIPNEXT Marketplaces, that uses machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data analysis and linear programming to help match Cargo with the most efficient shipping solution.
