SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Sept. 4, 2018 - PRLog -- Surf, a Phoenix-based startup that adds entertainment tablets to rideshare vehicles, announces the launch of the Local First Arizona business directory to promote local businesses statewide.

Surf is a media distribution platform that places tablets in rideshare vehicles for the entertainment of passengers and the promotion of businesses and brands. In addition to entertaining videos, music and games, passengers will now have access to the 'Best in Town, powered by Local First Arizona' channel. This interactive directory features the best spots in a region under a variety of categories, including nightlife, restaurants, coffee shops, things to do and many more.

"We are proud to partner with Local First Arizona, an organization that is invested not only in growing Arizona's local economy, but also in supporting small business owners and entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed," said Eli Chmouni, Surf Founder and CEO.

This expansion will give the nearly 3,000 Arizona businesses partnered with Local First Arizona the opportunity to expand their reach to rideshare tablets across the state. In Phoenix alone, nearly 500,000 rideshare trips happen each week.

"We see SURF as the next great advertising vehicle for our partners," said Michael Kracht, the Director of Business Relations at Local First Arizona. "Not only does it create engagement for consumers, it gives local businesses access to the future of interactive marketing at an affordable price point."

The Best in Town channel is an affordable alternative for service-industry businesses and restaurants that typically spend $500 on monthly mailers and print ads.

"Not all small businesses can afford traditional advertising methods," said Chmouni. "Those businesses that normally couldn't afford billboards now have access to digital billboards in front of millions of engaged passengers."

Local First Arizona members will be able to list their business starting in September.
