No wonder Christianity is failing, no wonder people don't want to bother with church and no wonder faith in Christ has become a subject to avoid and Christians have become people to mock instead of emulate. It just makes it that much harder for a non-believer to want to choose salvation over damnation, especially if your actions make it impossible to tell the difference. " Pastor John.

Scandals involving Jimmy Swaggart, Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker, and others demonstrate the hypocrisy and greed that has painted Christianity with negativity.  Wealthy televangelists such as Meyer, Copeland, and Dollar have been under federal investigation for violating nonprofit laws.  With the notoriety and flamboyance associated with televangelism and the preachers' desire for their own recognition and celebrity, God and salvation offered by His Son Jesus Christ is lost in the performance by these individuals.  Many popular megachurches use the same methods to promote theatrics as opposed to the Word of God.  The message of heaven and hell has been sold out to the highest bidders, and those bidders are pastors on the pulpit who preach what people want to hear, not what needs to be heard.

People are church burned, says Pastor John Collins.  The question is, why would anyone want to go to church when you come away feeling empty and the message has been one of open your wallet and give generously?  Pastor John Collins is not about the almighty dollar, he is about the almighty God and preaching revival, hope, and redeeming the work and words of Jesus Christ.
