Author Genadiya Kortova Releases New Children's Book
Genadiya Kortova, author of World's Smallest Dragon, lives in Bulgaria and is the author of several children's books. She studied at the Art College for Media Arts in Bulgaria and the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia. After university, she worked as a flight attendant for over a year. Traveling around the globe made her realize her true love for all arts, leading her to pursue a career in writing.
Kortova's release follows Molly, a young girl who has just moved to a new city with her family. She knows no one and is very lonely. That changes when she meets Spirit, the friendly spirit who lives on the roof of her house.
Early reviews label the book as whimsical and dream-like. Gavin Hill, author of A Lesson in the Jungle, describes the book as, "a wonderfully illustrated tale of love and compassion within the realms of two dimensions."
When asked what she wants readers to gain from her book, Kortova says, "If you are bound to earth by fear, how are you going to spread your wings and explore the sky of your true self? Please, remember that all magic begins with one single action: the love for one's self."
