The three-track event was the first Impact innovation Award in Silicon Valley that focus on Hardware Startups within key large industries where 100's of Global Startups competed. The reception was attended by Fortune 500 Executives, Founders and Investors from the US, Asia, Europe and Latin America. The Following Three Startups are the winners of the Impact Innovation Award:
Smart City Mobility (Diamond Prize): Swiftmile is tackling the first and last mile problem in transportation, by creating a network of solar powered eBike hubs for first, last mile commuters. They help cities, corporations, universities ease congestion, decrease smog and provide a clean and green alternative to autos. Based in SF Bay area and already raised $2m +. Education and Robotics (Platinum Prize): SmartGurlz is an award-winning robotic e-learning platform that teaches your daughter the necessary basics of computer programming or coding. Nearly all schools are requiring elementary coding skills - give your daughter or grand-daughter a leg up. Based in New York and already raised nearly $2m. Read more here or watch video here.
Digital Health & Biotech (Gold Prize): Trcare is a Tele-rehab solution for Stroke patients, enabling home based therapy after hospital discharge with real time monitoring by physical therapists. Their Innovation comes from Neuro Repair Lab at University of California, Irvine. Based in SF Bay Area and already raised nearly $1m.Read more here.
