Pelican Preserve Town Center Proudly Welcomes Raymond Major as New Director of Tennis

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Aug. 27, 2018 - PRLog -- ICON Management Services, a growing management company for premier golf and country clubs and community associations in Florida, proudly announces the hire of Raymond Major as the new Director of Tennis at one of their luxurious coastal communities, Pelican Preserve Town Center, Fort Myers, Florida, effective as of September 1, 2018.

With a remarkable 38-year active background in the tennis industry, Raymond Major has served as a Director of Tennis, Head Tennis Professional and a Director of Junior and Men's Tennis at various leading private country clubs since 1987. The Pelican Preserve membership looks forward to perfecting their game with Major on the six lighted Har-Tru tennis courts in their community.

Major started playing tennis in Parkersburg, WV, where he led his team to a top four finish in the State Tournament with his high school team. He also competed in the Illinois State Tournament during his junior and senior years of high school. He played college tennis at Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC, where he held the best record that year along with finishing as a letterman. During that season, he also placed second in the DIAC Conference Tournament.

Major has been a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) for more than 25 years and has been teaching for more than 30 years. He has served as the President of the Dallas Professional Tennis Association, as a board member with the Dallas Tennis Association and as a board member with USPTA-Indiana.

The years of involvement and abundant achievements that Major brings to Pelican Preserve is sure to make a lasting impression and positive impact on the community and fellow ICON staff members.
