LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Aug. 24, 2018 - PRLog -- Members of the staff of Metro Atlanta-based InsuranceHub recently participated in the 7th Annual Button Down Dash – presented by Gwinnett Medical Center – on Saturday, August 11. While InsuranceHub runners had a blast taking part in the 5K portion of the race, it's just the latest in a growing trend at the tech-driven insurance agency. Earlier this year, a group of staff members also took part in the Warrior Dash in April and the recent addition of a treadmill to the Lawrenceville-based office's break room has also been well-received. In a company focused on work-life balance, wellness plays a major role in that equation – according to company founder and CEO, Jim Lloyd.

"From group health insurance to workman's compensation, we're in the business of wellness at InsuranceHub – so it only makes sense that we'd place an emphasis on the wellness of our employees," said Lloyd. "We keep it light and fun in order to encourage participation at whatever pace and whatever amount is most comfortable for our employees. It's not unusual to see a group of our staff members using part of their lunch break to walk the business complex where we're located or to blow off a little steam at the ping pong table inside our office. We also provide a kitchen where employees can make or bring their own healthy lunches, rather than solely rely on the fast food restaurants around us for lunch. Promoting wellness in the workplace is a win-win for all involved. A happy, healthy employee is less likely to call out for sick days, which means little to no loss of productivity. Not to mention the fact that we're very team oriented at InsuranceHub, making these races a fun extension of the work-life balance lifestyle we're trying to promote during the workweek."

In addition to wellness, InsuranceHub is very community-minded. For the last three years, the company has served as Event Organizer and Grand Champion Sponsor of the Sip & Swine BBQ Festival at Coolray Field. Designed to benefit the Home of Hope at Gwinnett Children's Shelter, since its inception the event raised a combined $150,000 for the nonprofit.
