Local entrepreneur buys The Local

ORLANDO, Fla. - Aug. 23, 2018 - PRLog -- With deep roots in the community, delicious food and drinks and plenty of entertainment, The Local Bar and Grill is a College Park favorite.

Now, new ownership looks to continue the great traditions and friendly atmosphere.

Venchur Investments, headed by Orlando businessman Pat Semeraro, recently purchased The Local. Semeraro, a former principal of events company PTE Productions, said the community feel of the bar and grill immediately caught his attention.

"College Park is such a great, tight-knit community," Semeraro said. "You feel that as soon as you walk through the door of The Local. That's something I wanted to be part of, and it's something we are committed to continuing here."

Founded in 2010, The Local boasts a distinctly "un-corporate" feel on College Park's popular Edgewater Drive.  The 2,900-square-foot establishment seats 150 inside and 25 outside. It features delicious takes on traditional bar and grill offerings, such as burgers, sandwiches and wings, with a great selection of cocktails as well as beers on tap.

The establishment also features three professional grade pool tables and a dart board. Karaoke is a popular tradition on Friday nights, and The Local is a destination during football season, with HD TVs, NFL Sunday Ticket and SEC Network.

Semeraro and his team are currently examining the menu and offerings and in coming weeks look to roll out new menu items, entertainment options and specials to enhance what regulars know and love about The Local.

"We couldn't be more thrilled to be part of the community," Semeraro said. "We look forward to bringing something new to the area that regulars and new customers alike can appreciate and enjoy."
