Pembroke Taparelli Arts and Film Festival Announces Their Last Call for Entries

Los Angeles, CA, August 22, 2018 – Today, Pembroke Taparelli Arts and Film Festival (PTAFF) announced the last call for entries for their 2018 festivals, to be held in Los Angeles (November 1-4) and New York (November 8-11).

LOS ANGELES - Aug. 22, 2018 - PRLog -- This year marks the third year for PTAFF to provide a platform for independent filmmakers and artists to share their perspective on social issues that plague our society globally. "We encourage filmmakers and industry professionals to join us to be one voice for change in our local, national, and international communities," said, Michelle Smith Executive Director and Founder of PTAFF. She adds, "We are seeking submissions from established and emerging socially conscious filmmakers whose work highlights social injustices. In addition, films related to our 2018 theme of health and environmental injustices will be selected for special screenings." The screenings for Los Angeles film festival are scheduled to be held at L.A. Live's Regal Theatre.

This year the festival will focus on Health and Environmental injustice; bringing awareness to the inequities within the healthcare industry, the impact of food deserts, airborne pollutants, and the climate change on minority, poor and marginalized communities. The international Arts and Film festival continues to receive entries from filmmakers globally with stories that drive social change. "We have been receiving a strong response from the U.S. as well as countries like Iran and India, says Alex Graham, the Program Director for PTAFF. Graham added, "We have been working diligently with filmmakers to accommodate them."

All submissions must be received no later than 12AM, PDT today, August 22nd, 2018 for late admission. Submissions can be made via Film Free Way or Without a Box. Films selected for screenings will be announced on September 22, 2018.

PTAFF plans to announce their final selection of jurors by the end of this month. "It is important to have jury members that are just as passionate as us about the opportunity to share their perspective on films," said Michelle Smith. Filmmakers, solo performers and artists are being urged to submit their work to be selected for performances throughout the festival duration. Click here for more information.
