In Advance Of Tiff Local Canadian Nigerian Filmmaker Keeps Indie Film Scene Alive With Toronto Premiere Of Debut Feature

TORONTO - Aug. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- Sucker Buster Films Inc. and Executive Producer Akinwale Thompson, in association with Factory Film Studio are pleased to announce the Toronto premiere of Get The Sucker Back, the debut feature of Nigerian Canadian filmmaker Lolade Leigh-Thompson, this weekend August 24-25, 2018 at Cineplex Canada Square, 2190 Yonge Street in Toronto.

Shot in 21 days in the greater Toronto area, Get The Sucker Back, tells the story of Rachel, a naïve eccentric, attempting to con a con-artist to save her grammy's home from foreclosure. The caper comedy stars Canada's own Ally Williams as Rachel and Robert Notman as Jacob. Lolade Leigh-Thompson, who wore many hats during the production as writer, director and producer, also makes an appearance in the film as Nadine, the conniving cleaning lady.
