Louisiana's Shreveport-Bossier AAF Chapter Supports Free Press

SHREVEPORT, La. - Aug. 21, 2018 - PRLog -- Free press is a notion not only guaranteed by the constitution, but it is also imperative to accountability of decision-making parties and entities. The idea behind freedom of speech dates back hundreds of years to ensure that public information is spread regardless of unpopular or sensitive information.

Fourth Estate refers to journalism as a whole and acknowledges its global influence. Today, the media have more outlets than ever. Yet, fewer people trust the media. This is why so many organizations are collaborating with journalists distributing the truth.

In addition to the more than 400 news outlets and communications organizations around the country that have committed to supporting free press, the Shreveport-Bossier Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (http://www.aafsb.org/) is in agreement with Fourth Estate's position on free press. In light of recent events and comments by America's leaders, it's important to recognize freedom of thought and expression. As a representative voice of the advertising industry, we identify with ethics and truthfulness in the media.
