MINNEAPOLIS - Aug. 16, 2018 - PRLog -- Since 2016, OMG Media Solutions has partnered with the Minnesota State Fair to develop programming around celebrating culture and community. According to OMG Media's Founder, Monique Linder: "The partnership with the Fair has been going on three amazing years of celebrating record-breaking success. The magic started two years ago honoring Prince's music legacy as co-producers of "Unite In Purple", a beautiful tribute at the fair to Minnesota's native son with a Grandstand concert featuring Charlie Wilson and Fantasia.  In 2017, a younger demographic was targeted with a dance concert with Usher featuring 'Lil Jon.  In 2018, we are excited to once again partner with the fair in marketing the Great Minnesota Get-Together with a performance by the legendary Earth, Wind and Fire at the Grandstand featuring Sinbad and an outstanding entertainment lineup on the free stages that include many amazing local artists and musicians to celebrate culture and community."

"The partnership with OMG Media Solutions has been incredibly valuable to the Minnesota State Fair. Monique Linder's creative ideas and ability to connect with communities across the metro area has been a tremendous asset to our marketing efforts," said Renee Alexander, Deputy General Manager for the fair.

Adding to the exciting this to celebrate the greatest band in the world, OMG Media Solutions and its sister brand, Women of Color Media Network ran a promotion to submit entries to win an Earth, Wind and Fire summer backyard party.  Princess Titus' winning submission reflected "Cosmic Consciousness" as a community celebration that reflected Maurice White's vision of the music he created to uplift spirits and deliver hope, encouragement and peace.

Princess Titus' winning submission:

"My Love For EWF starts with a fog machine of an imaginary performance of my favorite song September, the month I arrived as a separate connected being on the planet, it settles me on my dad's lap and allows me to think to the background sounds of REASONS, which was the beginning of my possibility thinking which lands me into my purpose walking life (I miss my dad), the creativity of the rhythms and lyrics gave voice to my people and allowed the loosening of pains that can only be moved out of your body from your feet first, with the "flyest" dances, they are from Chicago and when I miss my hometown I play boogie Wonderland and remember the rich culture created by my people regardless of the past. This is what EWF music means to me."

The full submission can be found at:

Join the cultural community celebration in raising "Cosmic Consciousness", by expanding awareness and uplifting spirits in the memory of our ancestor Maurice White, founder of Earth, Wind and Fire. Elder Maurice White passed away on February 4, 2016. His "Cosmic Consciousness" music methodology remains the heart and soul of Earth, Wind and Fire's legacy.

Maurice White's reflection:

"I wanted to create a library of music that would stand the test of time. 'Cosmic Consciousness' is the key component of our work. Expanding awareness and uplifting spirits is so important in this day. People are looking for more. I hope our music can give them some encouragement and peace."

DJ SciPreme will be spinning the music of the greatest band that has given the world their gift of music and love for over 40 years.  OMG Media will register guests for a final chance to win Earth, Wind & Fire tickets for the August 26th concert at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand.  More information can be found at:

About Earth Wind and Fire (
During the 1970s, a new brand of pop music was born – one that was steeped in African and African-American styles – particularly jazz and R&B but appealed to a broader cross-section of the listening public. As founder and leader of the band Earth, Wind & Fire, Maurice White not only embraced but also helped bring about this evolution of pop, which bridged the gap that has often separated the musical tastes of black and white America. It certainly was successful, as EWF combined high-caliber musicianship, wide-ranging musical genre eclecticism, and '70s multicultural spiritualism. "I wanted to do something that hadn't been done before," Maurice explains. "Although we were basically jazz musicians, we played soul, funk, gospel, blues, jazz, rock and dance music…which somehow ended up becoming pop. We were coming out of a decade of experimentation, mind expansion and cosmic awareness. I wanted our music to convey messages of universal love and harmony without force-feeding listeners' spiritual content."
