By: Church Of Scientology The performers brought to life the humorous, scientific story of Dr. Henry Mudge being thrown back and forth across the galaxy with a single thought. Special lighting, sound effects and minimal props accompanied by their dramatic acting kept the audience captivated. The audience laughed throughout the performance watching "Dr. Mudge's" antics and the show ended with a standing ovation. Guests said "It was the best performance yet!" "It takes you back 80 years to the topsy-turvy 1930's." Yet another guest's comment summed up the event stating, "Mr. Hubbard really had an imagination! The L. Ron Hubbard East Coast Theatre is a volunteer group founded in 2011. Their shows combine actors, costumes and sound effects, bringing the exciting pulp-fiction stories by L. Ron Hubbard to life. L. Ron Hubbard was among the most prolific and popular writers through the Golden Age of Pulp Fiction. Indeed, between 1934 and 1940, some 140 L. Ron Hubbard tales appeared in the pages of legendary pulp magazines—with as many as three titles an issue and bylined under some fifteen pen names. With 19 New York Times bestsellers and more than 350 million copies of his works in circulation, Mr. Hubbard is among the most acclaimed and widely read authors of our time. "This venue is very unique. It provides educational information on Scientology and it's also a gathering place for community meetings and events such as this one," said Amber Skjelset, Manager of the Center and event organizer. "Their next theatre performance will be a spooky Western, Shadows from Boot Hill on October 26th - just before Halloween." The Center itself is open seven days a week, from 10am to 10pm.
